Spectacol sportiv. Bucurie. Entuziasm. Performanță. Într-o atmosferă superbă, timp de patru zile, Complexul Sportiv de pe Valea Cărbunării de lângă Râșnov a găzduit etape ale Cupei Mondiale la sărituri cu schiurile, atât la feminin cât și la masculin. Organizată în parteneriat cu Comitetul Olimpic și Sportiv Român (COSR), competiția a avut pentru prima dată întreceri care s-au disputat și în nocturnă.
Chiar dacă vântul puternic a ridicat mari probleme participanților, reprezentata României Daniela Haralambie a reușit un rezultat de top în fața propriilor suporteri. Sportiva tricoloră a ocupat locul 11, cu 83,5 puncte, după o săritură de 81,5 metri, iar la finalul competiției a urcat pe locul 26, în clasamentul general al competiției cu 131 de puncta. Colega sa Alessia Mîţu-Coşca a încheiat pe 35, cu 47,8 puncte (64,5 m).
Competiția feminină de pe Valea Cărbunării a fost câștigată de sportiva norvegiană Anna Odine Stroem, care s-a impus cu 98,1 puncte, după o săritură de 84 m, în urma anulării manşei secunde, din cauza vântului prea puternic. Austriaca Eva Pinkelnig, liderul Cupei Mondiale, s-a clasat pe locul secund, cu 97,1 puncte (86,5 m), podiumul fiind completat de compatrioata sa Julia Muehlbacher, cu 95,7 puncte (83 m).
În clasamentul general al Cupei Mondiale feminine, Eva Pinkelnig conduce cu 1.482 puncte, urmată de Katharina Althaus, cu 1.202 puncte, şi Anna Odine Stroem, 1.030 puncte.
În competiția individuală masculină, cei mai bine clasați sportivi români au fost Daniel Andrei Cacina - locul 29, cu 190,7 puncte, după sărituri de 90,5 m şi 82,5 m, și Mihnea Alexandru Spulber - locul 30, cu 86,1 puncte (85 m). Andrei Feldorean s-a clasat pe 44, cu 80,5 puncte (79,5 m), iar Nicolae Sorin Mitrofan a fost pe 47, cu 69,2 puncte (71,5 m).
Germanul Andreas Wellinger a câştigat concursul cu un total de 240,4 puncte, după sărituri de 94 şi 99 de metri. Podiumul a fost completat de slovenul Ziga Jelar, cu 240,2 puncte (91,5 m, 98,5 m), şi de un alt german, Karl Geiger, cu 237,9 puncte (91 m, 99 m).
La masculin, în clasamentul general al Cupei Mondiale, pe primul loc se află norvegianul Halvor Egner Granerud, cu 1.652 puncte, urmat de polonezul Dawid Kubacki, cu 1.359 puncte, şi de slovenul Anze Lanisek, cu 1.096 puncte.

Quite a show at the Ski Jumping World Cup in Râșnov
Sporting show. Joy. Enthusiasm. Performance. In a superb atmosphere, for four days, the Sports Complex on Valea Carbunării near Râșnov hosted stages of the Ski Jumping World Cup, both for women and men. Organized in partnership with the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee (COSR), the contest had, for the first time, night-time competitions.
Even though the strong wind caused problems for the participants, Romania's Daniela Haralambie reached a top result in front of her own supporters. The tricolor athlete was 11th place, with 83.5 points, after a jump of 81.5 meters, and at the end of the competition she climbed to 26th place, in the general ranking of the competition, with 131 points. Her colleague Alessia Mîțu-Coșca finished 35th, with 47.8 points (64.5 m).
The women's competition at Valea Carbunării was won by the Norwegian athlete Anna Odine Stroem, who won with 98.1 points, after a jump of 84 m, following the cancellation of the second round, due to a too strong wind. Austrian Eva Pinkelnig, the leader of the World Cup, ranked second, with 97.1 points (86.5 m) and the podium was completed by her compatriot Julia Muehlbacher, with 95.7 points (83 m).
